The Iraqi Geologists Syndicate/General Center holds a specialized course in Kirkuk to develop the skills of technical personnel.

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop technical competencies and enhance the practical experience of geologists, the Iraqi Geologists Syndicate/General Center, in cooperation with the Syndicate’s branch in Kirkuk Governorate, held a training course entitled “The Technical Element” on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
The course aims to develop the technical skills of participants in field work, with a practical focus on the mechanisms for calculating the quantities of exploited soil and the methods for organizing and preparing related geological reports.
The course included a field visit to a quarry, during which Mr. Shaker Qanbar, a consulting geologist, gave a comprehensive practical lecture covering the most important methods used in the work of the technical element and the preparation of technical reports.
This step comes within the framework of the Syndicate’s efforts to prepare and qualify participants for inclusion in the technical element contracts, enabling them to perform their duties with high efficiency in accordance with approved standards.
